As was the tradition among the original German settlers of Fredericksburg, Texas, we have given our Guest Cabins names:
ERICA'S CABIN
This name was chosen in honor of Heide's mother, Erica d'Alquen.
This enchanting log cabin was originally constructed in Kentucky, in the 1790's, and used as an inn. It was carefully disassembled and moved to Fredericksburg, TX in 1994. The cabin was then lovingly restored to its current, pristine condition.
Cozy and private, Erica's Cabin boasts an old world charm that is simply DELIGHTFUL!
From the lovely gardens and rustic exterior, guests are transported to a well-appointed interior with fachwerk walls and beautiful wood floors. The cabin is tastefully decorated in a traditional "cottage style", with many thoughtful touches and attention to detail.
The wonderful master bedroom features a deliciously comfortable, hand-made, king-size bed.
In the bathroom you'll find an over-sized jacuzzi tub for two, with rain shower head, and
imported Mexican tile.
Upstairs a large sleeping loft contains a hand-painted, metal queen-size bed, as well as,
an antique twin bed.
The large and inviting living room is furnished with comfortable chairs and sofas... perfect for relaxing with a good glass of wine and enjoying the quiet, peaceful surroundings. The centerpiece of this lovely living area is a beautiful wood-burning fireplace!
Charming and ROMANTIC!
The adjacent dining area features hand-painted and antique decor. A small kitchen area is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker.
